Priced these parts through scorptech, after any input/ideas/criticism you feel like providing.

Including powersupply, dvd drives

Total cost of $2129.

Well What are you goals for gaming? Are you spec'ing for ARMA 3? If so thats a good CPU for it.

If you are spec'ing for Star Citizen you may want to consider a higher GPU (or wait till the new card sets come out).

Star citizens never coming out dude.

The card is basically a stand in until the 1000 series come out and drop in price.

i'd spend the little extra to upgrade to the 970. pretty much the best $ to performance card out there miles ahead of the 960 only performs just under the 980/ti. ill be getting one for myset up until new PC time mid year and the new navidia pascal stuff comes out.

From recent experience, just shell out for a bigger SSD. You tell yourself that 128gb is fine, it's only the OS... a few updates and programs later; I got a 500gb and turned the 128gb into a dedicated HD for the most frequently used games.

Id get at least a 256 SSD as 128 will get filled up fast as well as Games in general just getting bigger every year.

I myself had to recently upgrade my PC since I came back from PAX last year my PC went boom as soon as I turned it on. Since I was waiting for nvidia's pascal to come out before I did the upgarde I decided on just getting a 960 and its been a good decision. It runs everything that I throw at it. I wouldn't call the 970 miles ahead but if you always want the bleeding edge then get it. When the pascal's come out in April (apparent release date) ill be getting the 80 in that series.
