ARMA 3 - Exile: Server Rules

All players who play on the Take The Sky Arma III Exile server agree to these rules when they begin playing on the server. Ignorance is not an excuse

Breaking of the following rules will be dealt with by, and at the discretion of, the responding staff member. This means administrative action may be taken against an offender without warning. This includes not respecting / listening to an admin decision.

In most cases all TTSKY staff decisions are final. However all players a free to make an appeal and present their case to have a decision overturned. This does not mean the appeal will be successful in all cases. To lodge an appeal go to our Help Desk or speak to an available staff member on our TeamSpeak

If you wish to lodge a report against another player you may post it on the Help Desk or PM it privately to a Staff Member on the forums or via TeamSpeak. Any report should include the in game name of the player, any relevant screenshots/video, the time the incident happened and a full report of the issue.

If a player requests compensation for any server issue or ArmA glitch they must have evidence of the incident, if a Staff Member can't attend immediately, and post it to the Help Desk.

For cases when a base is being claimed through compensation, a group member must provide a screenshot showing the last paid date for the base maintenance to ensure the base was not just removed due to forgetting to pay maintenance. Because of this it is suggested each player takes a screenshot of their maintenance paid dates to ensure sufficient evidence is captured.

The Rules

General Rules.

Respect - Always be respectful when playing on our server.

No glitching - Zero tolerance on ANY use of glitches involving bases, ie. Using a glitch to view inside a base, or using one to enter a base.

No Trolling - Zero tolerance on trolling.*

No Griefing - Zero tolerance on griefing*

No Voice over Side/Global - Do not use voice over the side/global channels.

No Offensive Names - Use of offensive names is against server rules.

Follow Instructions - Any direction issued by a Staff Member is to be followed.

*Staff members have full discretion on what is defined to be trolling or griefing.

Abuse and Language.

TTSKY will not accept abuse on the server. All conversations via text chat or voice chat must be respectful.
The following will not be tolerated on the server:
- Excessive profanity
- Racism
- Flaming
- Bullying/Swearing/Baiting

This is a PvP server but, while some general banter is to be expected, there is a finite tolerance for everything and stepping over that line will result in administrative action.

Safe Zone Rules.

No Theft

If it’s not yours; don’t touch it. There will be no ‘misunderstandings’ with this rule.

Stay Back

If it’s not yours; don’t go near it. Show other players some courtesy and clear space for incoming vehicles and keep back from players trading gear.

No Safe Zone Camping

Within 500m of the SZ border, whether entering or leaving. This also applies to the placement of explosives within 500m of the safezone. If in doubt, don't place it. Note: This does not mean that engagements can't happen within this exclusion zone. All matters relating to this rule will be dealt with on a case by case scenario.

Safe Zone NOT Retreat Zone

The SZ is for trading and maintenance. Do not retreat from combat into the SZ. This doesn’t mean a player that survives an ambush on the way to the SZ can’t keep going. Common sense applies.

No Loitering

Players are to conduct their business and leave the SZ ASAP to avoid crowding and localised lag. This includes leaving vehicles in the SZ after restarts, these will be deleted.

Note: Any vehicle left is a safe zone is done so at the players own risk. Admins will not replace any vehicle lost if it was left in a safe zone for an extended period or time or between restarts. The Safe Zone is not your personal car park.

Base Rules.

No Base Glitching

No glitching into a base or using a glitch to view inside. If a players avatar can't fit through a gap a player isn't to attempt entry. Any player that utilises any glitch for entry will instantly receive a 24h ban; this is due to it being impossible to perform such an action by accident. Feel free to make a hole large enough.

Base Camping/Trolling/Griefing

Camping bases, in most cases, is fine on the server. However if a point is reached where one group is constantly preventing the another from playing the game, administrative action may be taken. This includes repeatedly destroying vehicles at a base.

Base Wipes

Complete base wipes are not allowed on the server, players are to destroy what's needed only.

No Sling Bombing/Kamikaze

Sling bombing: Lifting a vehicle with a helicopter and dropping or ramming it into a base causing an explosion and damage to said base.
Kamikaze: Example of what not to do to bases.

Military Zones

Do not build on or within 500m of a military zone.

MSR (Main Road)

Do not build on or within 50M of the MSR. This includes utilising building parts for roadblocks.

Consider Placement

All players should consider their planned build site and the consequences of establishment at that location. If a base is located in a high traffic area, enabling a high chance of player kills or transit denial, the player or group should be prepared for reprisal from the affected population. Inconvenience is a two way street; a constant threat or cause of lost time and assets will most likely be met with equal or greater retaliation.

Combat Rules.

Combat Logging

Do not combat log. Immediate administrative action will be taken.

Kamikaze

Kamikaze against a player, or their vehicle, is totally acceptable as long as the player or vehicle is not on, or directly next to, a base.

Server RulesDW Rules

No Cheating/Glitching/Abusing Bugs or Glitches

Zero tolerance.

Please Note

This set of rules can't ever be fully comprehensive due to the nature of the game. If a staff member takes action on a rule that is not explicitly listed here, it will most likely be covered under another rule and, regardless if it is or isn't mentioned, will be be clarified or listed separately if necessary.
